Dear Family,
My name is Stacey Squiers and I will be your child’s teacher for kindergarten and first grade. These next two years are such a fun and important part of your child’s life. During this time, your child will be growing by leaps and bounds, academically and socially and I am very excited to be a part of it!
I grew up in Norwalk and am happy to be a part of this great district as a looping teacher! I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Major in Elementary Education and a Minor in Special Education and received my Masters from Graceland University. I taught for two years in Waukee and this will be my eleventh year at Norwalk. My husband and I live in Norwalk with our children, Josh, Jake, and Jillian, and our three dogs.
Parent/teacher communication is very important for your child’s success! Newsletters, telephone calls, notes, and visits from you are excellent ways for this communication to occur, in addition to our website. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns. I can’t wait to see you all in the fall for a wonderful, fun-filled year of growing and learning in kindergarten. I hope to see you at our Open House on August 24 from 5:30-7:00. Please bring your school supplies then so you won't have such a heavy load on your first day. If I don't see you then, I will see you on the first day of school, August 25, 2010.
