About Mrs. Brincks

My name is Julie Brincks and I will be your child’s teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade.  I am excited that we will be spending the next two years together watching your kindergartner explore and learn lots of new things.

I grew up on a farm near the small town of Wall Lake, Iowa and always had the feeling that I would be a lower elementary teacher.  I attended Simpson College for 4 years majoring in Elementary Education with the endorsements of Early Childhood, Reading, and Special Education.  I graduated from Simpson in 2001 and started teaching in the Norwalk School District the next school year as a kindergarten and first grade looping teacher, making this my tenth year!  I also completed my Masters Degree in Education in 2005 from Viterbo University.  My husband, John, and I live in Grimes and we have a nine-month old son named Beckett.  We love to travel and spend time with friends and family.  We are also avid Iowa Hawkeye fans.

Parent/teacher communication is very important for your child’s success!  Newsletters, telephone calls, notes, emails, and visits from you are excellent ways for this communication to occur, in addition to our website.  Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Brincks
